De Blanc, also known as Deblanc and Ralph De Blanc,
was a French musician who was active in the 1980s. He was known for his synth-pop
and electronic dance music, which was popular in the French club scene during
that time.
The single "Carros de Fuego" / "Chariots of Fire" was released in 1983 and
features De Blanc's signature synth-pop sound with a catchy melody and driving
beat. The song is a cover of the instrumental theme from the film (main
theme: "Titles" from the Vangelis album Chariots of fire
/ "Race To the End", with De Blanc adding vocals and electronic instrumentation
to create a more dance-oriented version of the song.
While "Carros de Fuego" / "Chariots of Fire" was De Blanc's most well-known
song, he released several other singles and albums during the 1980s, including
"Mon Amour" (1984) and "Une Autre Histoire" (1986). His music was popular in
France and other parts of Europe, and he was known for his energetic live
performances and elaborate stage shows.
Despite his initial success, De Blanc's career was relatively short-lived, and
he faded from the public eye in the late 1980s. However, his music has continued
to be popular with fans of synth-pop and electronic dance music, and his songs
have been sampled and remixed by a variety of artists in recent years.
The single "Carros de Fuego" / "Chariots of fire" was released in 1983.
The song of "Race To the End (chariots of fire)", is
a vocal version by (Ralph) De Blanc based on the Chariots of Fire main theme: "Titles" from the
Vangelis album Chariots of fire.
* Only this song contains music of Vangelis (from
the main theme of "Chariots of fire").

Lyrics transcribed from LP recording (lyrics not
available on sleeve or in booklet).
There is one
freedom
Man running along
Each step that he's taking
A step to his soul
The passion and courage
It takes to be there
A man and his spirit
Alive in the air
And if he should stumble
as he goes
If he should fall
It won't really matter
If he knows
he gave it his allThe way becomes clearer
The way is complete
The need to be running
Admit no defeat
The circles together
Hold hands to the sky
A man and his spirit
he's learning to fly |
And if he should
stumble
as he goes
If he should fall
It won't really matter
If he knows
he gave it his all
Let no one surround himself with pain
But use it to free him
The game is to learn to live again
A race to the end [Interlude] And if he should stumble
as he goes
If he should fall
It won't really matter
If he knows
he gave it his all
Let no one surround himself with pain
But use it to free him
The game is to learn to live again
A race to the end |
